GDCA 2022 Annual Awards

In 2022, we had 262 Great Danes earn their Championships, up from 221 in 2021.

 

The Top Great Dane in Group and Breed points is GCHP CH Vztop Hillside Just Another Southern Gentleman.  In Group competition, he earned five BIS, twenty-two Group 1’s, fourteen Group 2’s, six Group 3’s, ten Group 4’s and 95 BOB placements, defeating 12,827 competitors. In Breed Points ‘Jackson’ defeated 2,308 competitors with 95 BOB awards. He is owned by Jody & Steve Hill and Lorraine Rainwater.

 

The 2022 Breeder of the year is Karen Martin with eleven champions.

Following Martin were, Kathleen Fennell and Tootie Longo each with 10 champions.

 

The 2022 Brood Bitch of the year is CH Danemark N Magazu’s No Legacy Is So Rich As Honest with seven champions. She is owned by Karen Martin, Jason L. Dubman and Francisco Camacho.

 

The 2022 Stud Dog of the year is GCH CH Izya’s Fight On & Fly On with seven champions. He was bred and is owned by Jessica Powers.

 

The 2022 Top Owner Handled Dane is GCHS CH Shades Tapestry Of Stetson Ty Silver Linings, with 2,200 points. The owners are Cynthia Lutz, Mrs. Linda Boone and Sandra Wikstrom (not a GDCA member).

 

The 2022 Top Junior Handler is Matilda Reck (not a GDCA member). She had three Best/Top wins, four reserve wins and five class wins for a total of 82 defeated competitors.
